Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces the arrest of former Fugitive of the Week, Michael D. Bennett, 31. Bennett was wanted on a probation violation, stemming from an underlying conviction of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon (NH RSA 631:3).

Bennett was featured as the Fugitive of the Week on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, and was apprehended on September 30, 2024, by the Milton Police Department following a high-speed pursuit that spanned New Hampshire and Maine.

Bennett is now facing multiple new charges, including disobeying an officer, reckless operation, misuse of plates, and being charged as a habitual offender. He will be held pending further legal action.

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections extends its thanks to the Milton Police Department and all agencies involved in bringing Bennett into custody.

The Fugitive of the Week program was launched by the Department of Corrections in March of 2023 and each Wednesday, the Department shares information on a specific fugitive through various communications platforms, and with law enforcement through the New Hampshire Information and Analysis Center.
