Fugitives of the Week, Julie Leigh Riley and Melissa Ann Giuliana, In Custody

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces the arrest of former Fugitive of the Week, Julie Leigh Riley, 42. Riley was wanted on a probation violation, stemming from an underlying conviction Controlled Drug Acts Prohibited (NH RSA 318-B:26).

Riley was featured as the Fugitive of the Week on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Riley voluntarily turned herself in to the Belknap County Sheriff’s office on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. She was taken into custody without incident. Riley appeared before the court on November 20, 2024, and was released on bail.

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections also announces the arrest of former Fugitive of the Week, Melissa Ann Giuliana, 30. Giuliana was wanted on a probation violation, stemming from an underlying conviction Controlled Drug Acts Prohibited (NH RSA 318-B:26).

Giuliana was featured as the Fugitive of the Week on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. The Department received a tip indicating that she was at her father’s house in Lynn, MA. That information was shared with the Lynn (MA) Police Department who apprehended Giuliana on October 22, 2024. A stolen vehicle was located at her father’s residence.

Giuliana remains in custody in Massachusetts, where she faces additional charges related to a pursuit that resulted in a crash with a trooper’s cruiser and potential involvement in other thefts. Once extradited to New Hampshire, she will face charges for the probation violation, vehicle theft, operating after suspension, and animal cruelty, among other pending investigations.

The Fugitive of the Week program was launched by the Department of Corrections in March of 2023 and each Wednesday, the Department shares information on a specific fugitive through various communications platforms, and with law enforcement through the New Hampshire Information and Analysis Center.
