Transitional Housing Unit Resident on Escape Status, Jake Demeritt, Apprehended

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces that Jake Demeritt is in custody, following apprehension in Manchester.

Demeritt was taken in to custody without incident on Saturday, April 20, 2024, following a call from a concerned citizen. Demeritt is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections and will be returned to the NH State Prison for Men, where he will face misdemeanor escape charges.

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections thanks the Manchester Police Department for their assistance with this case.
